Jesus Diaz de Vivar

So, in the St Sulpice art fair we started walking around with Carlitos. We suddenly stumbled upon one of the most creative artists I have seen in a long time. What a refreshing breath of clever art. His name is Jesus Diaz de Vivar, spanish living in Paris, originally a fashion designer. He takes the pages of Liberation, the leftist french newspaper and paints on the pictures of famous people turning them into old ladies of the Spanish court or Drag Queens. He turned Condi Rice into a Motown girl from the sixties, and W into a medieval superevil pope. He also produced a video in Final Cut where the european parliament is witnessing a drag performance of a minister with an elizabethan collar of a polpular spanish song... AMAZING. His web site is www.jesusdiazdevivar.com / I told him of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, we talked about art, and he admitted being a total anarchist... but what a clever anarchist. he was definitely the best artist I saw at the fair.
